You can then check the details, choose a client folder and save — the receipt is archived for your bookkeeping.

In France, accounting records (invoices, receipts, expense reports) must be kept for 10 years for businesses, and 6 years for tax documents. ScanCompta securely archives your photos and data in Europe for the duration of your subscription, so you stay compliant with these legal requirements.

From the Export screen, select the month and folder concerned, enter your accountant's email address, then confirm. They receive a ready-to-import CSV file and a ZIP with all receipt photos in one click. No sign-up is required on their end.

Yes. Your data and photos are hosted in Europe, encrypted in transit (HTTPS) and at rest. Only you can access them from your account, and you can delete everything at any time from settings, in line with GDPR.

Yes. From the Scan screen, tap 'Mileage allowance', enter the date, trip and distance in kilometers. The amount is calculated automatically based on your custom rate (€/km). Mileage expenses are included in the monthly export, without using up your scan quota.

Yes. ScanCompta is an installable web app (PWA) on both iPhone and Android. Open the site in Safari or Chrome, add it to your home screen, and it behaves like a native app — with camera access to scan your receipts.

Yes, at any time from your settings, with no justification or commitment. You keep access to Pro features until the end of the period already paid for, then your account automatically switches to the free plan (5 scans per month).
